NEW XK= NEW Member
Hello to all!!
My name is Nick and I am from the mountains of Western North Carolina...
I have always dreamed of owning a new Jag and as of last weekend became the very proud owner of a 2011 XK.
I found this site during my research before buying my car and got a lot of great info that helped me make my decision.
After the salesman told me a little about the cars functions I hopped in the drivers seat and off we went to find the curviest road with the least traffic flow. The sound of the engine was enough to put a smile on my face but when he told me to put the car in "Sport" and then push "Dynamic Mode"....oh, and take this curve at 60...That's what sold me right then and there. It feels like your driving on tracks..thats how good it sticks to the road. It is truly the best of both worlds to have a car that will both cruse effortlessly and quietly and in all the comfort one could want and in the push of a couple buttons you're driving an uncaged animal. All I have to say is...WOW!!..I am extremely pleased. Thanks for the great forum!
Hopefully I did it right and pics are below...

Hello Nick and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules.
Be patient and enjoy the site. By the way your links did not work.

Thank you Gus, Norri and JimC64!!! Ive always been a foreign car enthusiast
but Ive never owned anything this nice.
I had my heart set on a BMW M3, test drove one and even built one on BMW USA. I was about a day away from buying the M3 when my wife told me to look around with her before making such a big decision. We went to Land Rover Jaguar the next day and I'm still thanking her today. Everything I liked about the M3 was even nicer in the XK and not to mention I have never seen an XK on the roads where I live. I'm not knocking the M3 in any way as I probably would have got them both if my wife didn't order a Range Rover Supercharged the same day........but I'm not complaining.
Anyways, Thanks for the warm welcomes. I'm looking forward to what this forum has to offer.
BTW is anybody aware if an after market exhaust would void the warranty??

Nick,
Welcome to Forum---it's a great brain trust with very interesting reading for Jaguar "gearheads". Nice to know there are others of us in the area---have fun on the parkway but beware of the park rangers they do write tickets. I had to jump on the brakes when passing one last fall.
