Default New Xkr owner in COLD SNOWY Iowa

Just bought a 2004 Xkr Portfolio from a Jag dealer in Milwaukee sight unseen other than pics, car fax, and dealers reputation. Will be delivered in a few days just in time for x-mas. I'm lucky my wife has always loved these cars so she said go for it. At 44000 miles is there anything out of the ordinary that needs to be addressed with this car. Thanks for the great forum and my wish is for a heat wave at x-mas.

At that sort of mileage you should have many happy years of Jaguar motoring ahead of you. I assume there is a full service history with the car.

I have always been puzzled by first owners who pay a LOT (nay, HUGE AMOUNT), of money for the car, and then neglect the servicing. As a percentage of the new price it is less than 1% per year, yet so many first owners let it drag on.

Where are you in Iowa? I'm in the Quad City area. I've already put the Jag away for the winter.

Hi Doug,
I'm about 45 miles NE of Omaha. We have some great hills to drive here in the western part of the state. On Sunday drives you will see more deer than vehicles. Very serene. Usually ride a Gold Wing. I can tell already that it's going to be a hard choice between the two. I guess life's full of tuff choices. Thanks for the line.

Your a little too far away, we have a great british car club and we are always looking for new members. We do hold a show every summer and welcome everybody to attend. Your XKR will keep you smiling for years to come. Enjoy!
