I want to introduce myself. My name is Tom and I'm 45, I have been around Jags all my life. My father bought his 59 xk150 DH coupe before I was born in 1961 and we still have it. I bought my first Jag in 1996, 87 XJS hess car. I had that for eight years, I used Kriby Palmer book extensively to keep it running. I had to sell it when my wife wanted a Toy Hauler for camping with the kids. In 2005 I inherited a 1971 Etype 2+2 V12 from my god mother it was very nice but, I just sold it last summer, someone wanted it more than I did. So I payed off some bills and bought a 94 xjs 2+2 for only 8 grand. I love it, I guess I can't get the XJS's out of my blood I just love them. So what brings me to the forum? Well the other day I came across a 78 XJ 12L it has a beautiful black paint and nice red interior but it hasn't been run in 15 years, I only paid $500 for the car. I want to try to get this car running and I'm going to need some help and that is why I'm here. I will try to post some photos as I go along. Thanks for reading

Welcome to the forum Tom, the 78 sounds like a great project car, and no doubt with your experience on the other examples you've owned, you'll be able to get this one purring again in no time...well, maybe not that quick, but you'll eventually succeed. i'd love to see a picture or two, I can't visualize the 78.

Good bunch of guys in the XJ6 & XJ12 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum area. Enjoy yourself of course.
