I have recently relocated from the UK to the US.

I am something of a car fan and had high hopes for my US car search... sadly the vast majority of pre owned cars i went to look at (200+) were in very poor condition compared with some of the metal you would find in Pistonheads.com classifieds for example.

Modern US muscle cars have fascinated me from a distance (impactful styling and attractive BHP/$) but after driving them all I was afraid the novelty would wear off and elements of the car would start to get on my nerves on the daily commute.

I moved onto X5s, M5s (love the e39 shape), last gen Audi RS6. They are both very rare here but the ones i found were in very poor condition.

After extensive research I found that Jag owners tended to look after their cars much better than the average and the values were a comparative steal for the level of refinement on offer.

Anyway I picked up an 05 XJ VDP in Charcoal grey yesterday, for the type of roads here in the US and the commute I have it is the perfect tool for the job.

I have already started searching the boards for a few things:

- One of my tray tables won't stay closed in the back of the car
- The cheap tires the dealer put on are a little noisy i think or maybe a front bearing is worn a bit
- I have also been rendering your indy dealer recommendations.
- I also need to buy a full set of mats
