I'm from the Sacramento, Ca area. I have two Mk cars because my son wanted to fix one up and pimp it out. That lasted for about 2 days as we gried to get one of the engines out. That was enough for him(((((

I have two MGs and 2 LandRovers in various conditions.

Welcome.

Those MK and other early stuff were a scary car to get the engine out of.

Some even just lifted the body over the suspension and engine unit, dunno, but thats how it was assembly I believe.

Welcome. I hope I never Have to remove the motor from the S-Type. The shop manual has a drawing of essentially removing the car from the front end assembly. Yikes!
