Default Newby from Northern Ohio

Hello Everyone,
My name is Bill, I live in Northern Ohio & am a first time Jag owner. I have been building, racing & customizing cars & trucks for 32 years. I am the owner of Bill's Auto Works, I transport antique, classics & hot rods nationwide & also do restorations & custom paint in my shop.
I recently bought an original paint 1992 XJS conv V-12 car from a friend of mine in South Carolina & at the time of this post, I have removed the engine, trans, both suspensions & interior. I will be doing a color change, a hot small block chevy swap & some other goodies.
Since I am a newb when it comes to Jags, I will be reading alot of threads & asking alot of questions in the near future. I look forward to meeting many friendly Jag Guys here.
Thanks For Having Me
Bill

Hi Bill: Welcome to the world of Jaguar, to the forum, and greetings from the Midwest Region. Sounds like you've found yourself a good project! But, what's a Chevy? Seriously, if you have the opportunity to post some pictures along the way, I'm sure lots of folks would be interested to track your progress.

Again welcome, and cheers!
Scott

Thank You Scott,
I would like to start a build thread for the car after I am established here. As a new member, I did wonder what percentage of members looked down on the engine swaps & how many supported it
Merry Christmas

Bill:
At least to my mind, car enthusiasm comes in many different forms. I also have a Model A that is totally stock. Modified versions or hot rods really don't interest me at all, but I also can see the beauty in a job well done; and I cannot deny the pleasure that doing such things affords their owners. And at the end of the day, better one more XJS (or Model A, or whatever) on the road than in the recycling bin!

You may encounter a few naysayers , but by and large you should find this a friendly place with lots of folks to offer support and encouragement.

Happy Christmas to you as well!
Scott
