I actually joined up quite some time ago, and have enjoyed browsing the forum as well as learning a ton of new info. I'm a first-time Jag owner, bought an 01 XJ8L, and I've really enjoyed the car thus far. It's got a few quirks to iron out still.. tach only works intermittently, ABS/ASC/Trac Control alerts, and the key fob only works every once in a blue moon, despite continued re-programming. I replaced the driver's side rear wheel bearing, and managed to rig the license plate lights (ran a lead from the taillight.. just tonight learned about the wire breakage issue at the trunk hinge), so things are getting fixed up nicely. Anyway, y'all are a super helpful bunch of folks on here, and I'd like to offer my sincere thanks for all the help you've already given me. Looking forward to learning more!

I did the same thing, joined then only much later noticed the "welcome Instructions" and finally came-clean with the board. Great folks and good information to be found here. Enjoy your XJ

Welcome Dave. Thought I remembered your user name. Sorry we didn't make it into Charleston this year. Great historic city you have there. We've spent some great days there and then have driven up to Myrtle Beach in the past few years. Flew directly to Myrtle this time.
