Default Novice Professor of Tinkering

I was reluctant to purchase a 98 Vanden Plas 01-2012. The price was low for the miles, 85K. Shop quoted $5500 for a list of simple repairs to the seller. Thanks to jagforums' i did those repairs myself. In the last 6 months ive had 7 compliments and 5 of those were "its always in the shop, expensive to maintain, electrical problems galore, my moms friend spent $$$" ect, ect, ect comments. Whell you can do the math on how much this site has saved me. Thanks again.
p.s. hope i posted in the right arena.

Welcome to the forum Professor,

Yes - you are in the right arena.

Good to hear the information here has helped keep your running costs down.

You've discovered the big secret about Jaguars - if you do your own maintenance they aren't too expensive to run but the neighbours still think it costs a fortune. Never tell them otherwise!

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Welcome to the forum Jon,

Good to have you with us.
DIY is the key to keeping these cars affordable.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
