Default obd2 no power x350 v6 2005

having a engine fault show on dash i plugged my reader in but no power so thought id get a new reader as it is old. Tried new reader still no power, i checked fuse 43 and it had blown fuse 16 was ok.when i switched the ignition back on the car wouldnt turn over the steering lock came on and the mirrors folded in when i used the key fob. So i disconnected the battery and checked the fuses again both f43 and f16 seem ok so reconnected the battery and everything is ok the car runs as normal with no faults on the dash But still no power to the obd2 socket help needed please

I suggest a repost in the X350 Tech Section, down the Home Page a tad further.
