Default Old Jag Owner returning to the fold

Howdy all. I bought my first Jag way back in '82 when I went to England for a few years. It was a '76 XJ6. Probably the smoothest riding car I ever owned.

I went on to get a '69 Daimler Sovereign and for a short while, a '67 420G.

When I got back to Texas, I was tempted to buy an XJS, but it was a little too uncomfortable for my taste. Getting married put any dreams of buying another Jag to rest.

But then I finally figured it out. I bought my wife a 2007 S Type. I should have thought of that earlier. It's a great little car with nice road feel and plenty of power.

I found these forums when trying to research a droopy right side HID headlight. More recently, the right windshield washer nozzle on the wiper has a crack in it that sprays cars to the right of us a little.

There's a lot of good info here and I hope to be able to give back to the community after I gain more experience.

Welcome to the forum,

So the experience of driving mid 70's Jaguars in England didn't put you off!

Sounds like you've already found your way around here researching the S-Type issues. Hope everything is now fixed.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to help you.

Welcome to this very friendly forum.
There's an enormous amount of information here, the only problem is finding it!
FWIW a well phrased Google search produces better results than the site engine.

Thanks, folks! Yeah, I saw the thing about putting the car info in the sig, so I put the Jag info there.

I haven't drilled into my headlight yet. Awaiting confirmation of some assumptions I had before doing it. "Measure twice, cut once" sort of thing.

These forums didn't have it directly, but they helped me find a potential replacement for the windshield washers. Dodge Truck washers on a Jag S Type? Who would have thought?

There is really something special about owning a Jag. I, like you have been away from them for a long time. Cool that we are back in the "family". Mine won't be ready to drive for a very long time, so I am jealous that you are already on the road with yours! ) All the best, and have fun!
