Paint codes
Hi there I am a recent member and this year have bought a 1 owner 1977 Damiler series 2 xj6 4.2 and have been trying to track down the original paint code. There car is in good condition, one owner since 1977, always garaged, 95000 original miles, exported to NZ in 1979 by owner. Has had a reconditioned motor here in Christchurch NZ at 70000 miles and always with regular servicing, interior is also in good condition. I have all the documentation of all the work carried out on this car since new.
The name of the colour is airforce blue this from previous owner, I have exhausted my own ability on the internet to find the paint code for this colour? As the base coat in still in good condition from the car always being garaged I wish to get the stone chips on the car sorted. Help?

Welcome to the forum cruser519,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Is there a chance the PO was 'nearly right' about the colour? Squadron Blue was a popular Jaguar XJ6/Daimler Sovereign colour in the 70's.

Follow this link XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJ6 Series I, II & II forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
