Default Paul-Henri - Hi :)

Hello,

Here i am, Paul-Henri, 24 years old and proud driver of a 17 years old XJ8 4.0.
I live and work in France where i studied I.T ; For now i work in a factory which produces aromatic products (You know, the thing that taste like strawberry but is everything but strawberry... ).

About my car, as i said it's a 4.0 model, 199 000 km now and in a good condition. Bodypaint isn't in the best shape but having no garage to park the car i don't really mind... The interior is in mint condition except the central rear mirror.

I will try to make some decent photos when the rain stops (Could take months...)

Welcome to the forum Paul-Henri,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X308 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link Europe - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Hello,

No upgrade planned at all, only maintenance ! The car is approaching 200 000 KM and i have a lot to do / check :

* Shock absorber
* Gearbox - Fluid change and maybe a valve body rebuild
* Distribution - Not sure if the previous owner has done anything about it...
* Water pump and thermostat : Check if the first is good and change the case of the second by a stronger one.

Oh there might be an upgrade : Tune the AI-Net cable from the cd player to plug my phone on...

Paul-H
