Hello everyone.

My name is Chris and I am new here.

Short story about me, I am a 20 y/o Rutgers student that's looking for a new car.

I had a 1994 W124 E320 Coupe that I bought for $10k with 76k miles back in 2006. It was my first car ever and it was my pride and joy, and dare I say my life. It meant the world to me. Then a huge puddle picked a fight with my W124 which was on tires needing replacement, I hydroplaned and my car lost the fight and was swung into a guard rail.

So, long story short. I'm still hung over it, but I owe my life to that car and Mercedes-Benz.

So I'm here looking an X308s, specifically XJRs. I remember seeing them as a kid back in 1997 and was just blown away by the classic lines of the XJR. It was one of my dream cars back in the day. Hopefully I'll make that dream into a reality.

More about me, I am a hardcore car guru. I am very knowledgeable about cars from specifications and facts, to actual mechanics (I work on my own cars).

My heart is with Mercedes-Benz, but I am one who gives plenty of respect where respect is due. I love primarily all European cars.

I write for EGMCarTech, which is an online automobile publication, like jalopnik and autoblog.

I am a journalism major with a minor in public relations. I graduated Blair Academy in 2008. I professionally DJ progressive house, trance, electro house and club beats/top 40.

I love computers, electronics, consider myself an audiophile, and a movie buff.

All in all, I'm a very multifaceted individual who knows a little about a lot.

Also, if you guys need any advice on any Mercedes-Benzes or BMWs, I am your man. I know those cars off the back of my hand.

Anyway, I look forward to joining the Jaguar community, even though I'm guessing majority of you are old enough to be my father. :P
