proud new owner
Hello all, Ive been driving a Lexus GS300 for a few years now. Racked up 203K miles, it has been a really good car, if a bit boring.
Had my eye on a 2006 S type R with 37K miles for a few weeks. The dealer finally accepted my offer today (amazing the deals you can get at month's end).
So, I am now the proud owner of a practically new 400 horse beauty. Couldn't be happier. I cant think of any other car can you get with over 400 ponies and less than 40K miles for under $20K. Exceptional value.
Just hope it isnt too costly to operate.
Current challenge is learning how to get my iphone to work and figure out the Sat Nav system.
Look forward to interacting with everyone.

Great snag, you're going to love that s-type. Be careful for the first fiew spirited trips, learning the power and traction limits with the S/C would be prudent. Now, you got any pics we can see?
New members can't 'attach' anything yet, but you can link to outside photo hosting sites w/o any issues. We'd love to see the new addition to your garage.
BTW, where in S. Indiana? I'm from Mt Carmel, IL.

Hey thanks for that Jim. Will get some pics in the next day or so.
Already hit a snag. Previous owner said he had installed a K&N filter so I was checking to see if it needed cleaning. Noticed that one of the snap tabs was broken when I started to pop the top off the air box. Checked the filter and went to replace the top of the airbox and broke off the other snap tab.
Anyone have any suggestions for recovery. Anyone have an airbox for sale or is there a cold air kit that I can go with? (2006 STR)
