I just bought my first Jaguar XK8 convertible. I'ts a 1997 and I love it. The car did not come with an owners manual and it's making me feel like a dummy.... Can anyone tell me how to roll the quarter windows up? Also I can't get the tail lights to work. I grounded them like i saw in a post and it didn't work. Both fuses have power but no power to tail lights. I have brake lights, turn signals and tag lights.
I have owned 7 BMWs and always wanted an XK8. BMW is notorious for tail light problems so I thought it would be an easy fix...Boy was I wrong...
Help anyone???????

The rear quarters should close as part of the top closure sequence. Here are the pages from the Driver's Handbook on opening and closing the top:

I found a you tube video where you can make your quarter windows go up and down by installing a rocker switch...
Now for the next problem...
I can't get the tail lights to work. The front parking lights and tag lights all work just the rear tail lights and side markers wont work. I added an extra ground, no luck. Checked bulbs and they are good. I do have brake lights and turn signals. The housing is not getting any power. I checked all fuses and they are getting power on both sides... Any ideas???????
