Quick Intro: New FL Member
Hi All-
Lifelong Jaguar fan here. My uncle had a BRG XJS that I fell in love with when I was 8 or 9. Every Sunday after, I would read the classified section of our newspaper and BEG my parents to buy a Jaguar. They never did, citing reliability issues.
Long story short, my first Jaguar was as soon as I could possibly buy one at 21. Here's the list:
1995 Jaguar XJR White/Oatmeal bought from Momentum Jaguar in Houston
1998 Jaguar XJR BLK/BLK bought from a former Google exec.
2002 Jaguar XJR White/Oatmeal bought from Ebay, mistakenly gave to brother.
2004 Jaguar XJR Silver/Grey bought from an acquaintance, sold on Ebay
2001 Jaguar XJR White/Oatmeal bought off of ebay- died at 168,000
2001 Jaguar XJR White/Oatmeal bought off of ebay- son had an accident in it while driving beyond the boundaries of Fantasia.
The last one I truly thought I would keep forever. While it wasn't totaled, I was heartbroken and sold it to a guy in Jacksonville that worked for Jaguar and could get parts inexpensively.
Now I am hunting for the replacement and have found a few good candidates, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
So, if you know of a well sorted x308 or x350 (XJR or VDP) that is low mileage and well cared for in either White (preferred) or black or silver. Please do my inner 9 year old a solid and reach out.
