As a previous owner of an XJ-S & a Soveriegn, I got the itch to get another Jaguar. Recently bought an '05 XK8 with only 30K miles on it. The car only had one, almost invisible, scratch on it. As of today, after 4 weeks ownership & driving it almost every day, there is only one glitch - water in one headlamp housing.

Hope the reliability of this one is not like the previous 2 I've owned.

Sounds as if you had some issues with the earlier Jaguars. The problems on the XK8's were mostly resolved with the 4.2 - except for water in the headlamps.

Check the XK8/XKR section for info on fitting the vent tube. It minimises the issue but doesn't fix it completely.
