I'm a new member having recently acquired a '98 XJ8. This is my second Jag, the first being a '63 XKE I had during my misspent youth. That first Jag was interesting, on a hot day it vapor locked and on a cold day it wouldn't start at all. In the 18 months I had it everything worked on only about 3 days, but that nearly made it worthwhile. A great car, plagued by Lucas, God of Darkness. I'm looking forward to my time with the XJ88, drop dead gorgeous but with what seems to be common issues with the headliner and cruise control. The nearest dealer is in Sacramento, 150 miles away, so I'll be parts sourcing over the Internet.

 

when you come over the 80 to Sac, make sure and see if we can meet in Grass Valley ( a slight detour over the 20 to the 49)... We'll bring our 62 EType OTS...
