A sad introduction to you all
Having purchased an X type 2.5 litre automatic 4 wheel drive diesel Jaguar with all the excitement of it being low mileage for its age and in very good condition things did not continue as planned. The joy of Jaguar ownership was short lived.
Almost three months to the day someone modified the car which sadly sent it on its way to the garage in the sky. Fortunately there were no injuries, other than to my heart due to loosing an enjoyable drive. It really is a case that the journey becomes the reason to go out for a drive.
As a result I have the manuals with the black binder - all in too good a condition to scrap. The manuals in question are as follows:
X-TYPE Owner's Handbook - Publication JJM 10 02 20/452 - Published April 2004
AUDIO SYSTEM - Publication JJM 10 08 26 501 - Published May 2004
SERVICE PORTFOLIO - Publication JJM 10 88 99/47 - Published January 2004: this has had pages 5/6 and 25/26 removed (due to showing details of the scrapped vehicle) but is otherwise in a good, clean condition. Page removal was undertaken so that the same pages can be removed from "your" copy and attached to the page stub left stapled in the publication.
I live in the UK - near Lancaster in Lancashire. My e-mail address is dpacjv@icloud.com and I will pass on these manuals to the first person to contact me. Postage cost will be in the region of £2 to £3 within the UK.
I hope someone will benefit from my sad loss.

Welcome to the forum Contented,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums but sorry to hear about the sad demise of your X-Type. I hope the insurance settlement will allow you to consider a replacement.
As you aren't advertising the manuals for sale, I'll leave the details here. The Document Set is often missing from vehicles purchased by members and I'm sure someone will greatly appreciate your kind offer.

Hi Contented,
I am touched by your nice gesture and I heartily wish you a healthy recovery and a swift return to your motoring passions!
As I have the 2002 model, the books will be more useful to the lucky guy with that model or someone who has none in my humble view.
I hope we will see your return when things are settled down and you are looking to get back on the road.
I am so glad there were no injured parties, but still a sad loss!
Regards and wishes to you Contented and if you wish totally impartial free advice re the accident, feel free to pm me.
Your words shall remain private, regards, Stu
