Good Morning All

A brand-new member; purchased a 2000 XK8 last summer, and can hardly wait for the snow to go so I can dig it out of my garage in Minden ( yes, we still have a foot of the stuff!)

Two questions; is there any way to use my vin# to find out from Jag if my cam-chain tensioner has been updated?

Does anyone know if any of the suspension parts on my sister's X-type are common to Ford (Sway-bar bushings, etc.)?

SN

Welcome SN! Definitely post up your question in the XK8 section, you'll find enlightenment over there for sure.

welcome aboard Scott...good intro
Re the X type...yes, there are quite a number of parts common to Ford.
Check out the X type section for more answers.
While you're there I'd recommend looking thru the X type quick FAQ link thread

Welcome Scott. Maybe if it was done at a dealership you might have a chance of finding out, but if it was an independant or home mechanic I can't see any way of knowing.

As above check the appropriate section.
