Soon to be Jaguar owner!! Advice needed!!

Hello everyone im new to this site and possibly a new Jaguar owner too!!

As long as everything goes good im most likely going tomorrow to pick up a Mistral Blue 2000 S type 4.0... The car is very clean with the exception of a couple minor dings and a couple scuffs here and there...Overall its appears to be a very well kept car and I love the way its looks/rides...

Ill be buying it from a local dealership it has 77k miles and they are asking $9,950..

What do you guys think of that price? I was thinking about offering $9,000 and going from there...
?

Also, is there anything I should look out for? I already discovered the "sealed for life transmission" when I went to check the trans dip stick...[:'(]

Welcome Cobra, ask the dealer if the chain tensioners have been replaced ( if you test drive it and it starts ticking when you first start her up be weary)also the original shift cable. the thing liked to get stuck in park.

Thanks for the info,the car runs very smooth and quite but ill keep a eye on itwhen I buy it..I actually did a Oasis report and according to them the gearbox has been replaced in '04...

The other thing is I think the color is Sapphire Metallic, its the dark blue...
