Hello Jag lovers

I am Armin from Germany. Not the youngest anymore but still in excellent shape I am driving a S-Type R of 2003 since 2 years now, drove around 28.000 km, now a milage of around 225.000 km. Incredible car...just pure fun to drive the old british style powermaschine.
Jaguar workshops are quiet expensive here, therefore I try to do repairs by myself. I own a WDS diagnostic station with the 2004 latest software. Great help. Biggest problem I had last winter. I ****ed up my ECM using a mongoose interface and a XP Laptop and the JLR program on a virtual maschine. Of course...the reprogramming broke up after 2 minutes....and that was it. Lot of failures in the screen...no communication at all...engine didn`t start anymore....
After reading in forums like this here and some special books about networkcommunication in modern cars....buying the WDS ...I finally could reprogram my ECM properly.
Beside my Jag I aalso own a Lotus Esprit turbo of 1989 with a S4 (1993) engine. I simply love british cars...they have their unique style....

For the near future...I will overhaul the entire suspension...automatique gearbox (ZF) and will see what`s coming up...

In my job as policeman (C.I.D) I work in IT-support since 5 years...I will retire next year....

Exhaust is from german Jaguar tuner "Arden" but this type with 4 pipes is no longer available... is the perfect sound for STR....in my opinion...will try to make a record and post it here...not to noisy...very sonor...more the type that shows souvereignity...and leaves no doubts about the power...british ...of course
