Suspension bushes

Hey I'm about to reach the rear suspension [ control arm ] bushes on my 02 s type. I've been told by some not to use aftermarket parts . Any advice. Cheers

Welcome aboard Baz…I personally wouldn’t use aftermarket parts for the suspension on most cars, but the people over in the S Type section will know.

I see you have been registered on the forum for a few months but didn't previously post an Intro. Good to have you with us.

I agree with Jim on a preference for OE suspension parts but availability and cost in your location will naturally influence the decision. I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. That is the best place to seek advice from members with the same model. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

You might want to add your general location to your profile; this makes descriptions like "driver’s side" more relevant when posting to the forums...

Hello,
I have some experience with suspension bushings, both after market and OEM.
I would NOT install such an important component as suspension bushings based solely on cost. There is a LOT of Trash out there that might only last you 2 or 3 years before you have to go to the trouble and expense again or be forced to park the car for safety concerns. I'm sure the S-type section can advise you what's best.
