Talking Texas x300

Hello, just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. My name is scott and I recently purchased a 1995 XJ6. My oldest son recently turned 17 and I decided I would give him my Toyota prerunner to drive to work and school. This left me in a search for another vehicle. Truthfully I have always loved German cars so of course I was looking at the usual BMWs and MB. I began to notice the Land Rovers (craigslist) and my mind began to drift towards British cars. I found a gentleman with a 1995 XJ6 so I went for a look. Love at first sight. I have never seen a car which exudes such quality of build and elegance. From the first drive I knew Jaguar was the car for me. Not that the car is perfect. The interior is perfect and all the electrics work, it is the exterior which needs a little help. The roof has extreme sun fade. I dropped it off for a complete paint job, same color, yesterday. Luckily I live in the tip of south Texas and paint jobs are affordable. I think I may need some new shocks, but as of right now that seems to be all that is needed mechanically. She purrs like a kitten and runs right out if you ask for it--though I am not much of a hot rodder. I hope to be asking lots of questions as I like to do as much work myself as possible. We currently have two Volvos---240 and a v70xc which I also work on. Sorry for the long post, look forward to good descent interaction. Anyone down around Brownsville-Harlingen area let me know.

Default Pictures for sure

Jim, I will be sure to get some pictures uploaded when she comes back from the Paint shop. I only have to wait till Friday Of course it did not rain for a month and now it has rained for two days. I don't know if moisture in the air will effect the paint progress----hope not. Scott
