Default Thanks for the Forums

I'm looking forward to many years of forum membership, and many years of my wife enjoying her 2012 Jaguar XJ Portfolio.

I hope to find a technical manual, and any other sources of maintenance and repair info and tools that I can use to support/maintain the new addition.
Any tips on where to get the tech manual?
All I can find is the Topix subscription, which is alright, but I'd hate to have to pay each time I have to change the spark plugs, or check the TPMS system.

I look forward to many dialogues, and hope to contribute at least as much as I gain from this helpful forum.

121jagmark keep your eyes peeled on eBay for a listing by British Diagnostics for their release of the version 138 SDD software and the correct Mongoose cable. No Topic subscription but you will need a laptop running Win 7 or 8 that is capable of running a virtual machine within windows to support a sandboxed version of Windows XP. With a little self-training you'll be able to do everything your Jag dealer can do.

Also check out the download section of the forum for all manner of Jaguar fixes, data, svc. releases, svc. manuals, etc. There is a lot of valuable information stashed there and a ever growing amount dealing with the newer model Jags.

Welcome to the forum Mark,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

TOPIx subscription is an expensive option. You have two alternatives:

1. paper workshop manual in PDF format available from many sources on the net
2. Jaguar SDD (System Driven Diagnostics) software + Mongoose scantool

Choice depends on whether you only intend to carry out regular service tasks (use option 1) or do all repairs yourself (option 2).

Follow this link XJ ( X351 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X351 forum for help, advice and information.

You can also visit the USA Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link USA Lower Atlantic - NC SC FL GA - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

Enjoy the forums.

Thank you all for your warm and gracious welcome.
I do appreciate the sort of people that participate in forums such as this one; I consider this to be one of the best uses of the Internet.

I'll certainly look for availability of any tools that I can interface with the XJ with, particularly the British Diagnostics SDD product that you mentioned. It will help me uncover the details of a TPMS fault that I need to sort out.
And I certainly appreciate pointing me towards the workshop manual that will help me with properly maintaining what appears to be a well-crafted Jaguar that should give my wife many years of superlative comfort, reliability and safety when she needs to go from points A to points B.

I've got to say, so far, in the short time I've been aware of this Forum, so many members have been helpful and brought out the Welcome Wagon well beyond what I expected. A very impressive community, thanks to all of you who have built and contributed to it.
I certainly think that it is a great (if not the best) source for info interchange on the Jaguar vehicles that bind us together.
As exclusive as the Jaguar community (ownership) is, at least on the west side of the pond, there is certainly an impressive amount of activity.

Thanks!
