Default TPMS on 09 XKR portfolio

Good day to all. I recently bought an 09 XKR portfolio. I love the car but have had some pesky and strange things happen since buying it, for example "hood not latched" cannot apply parking brake" and of course the adaptive light blinking on the dash. The question I have for the team here though is' Does the 09 XKR portfolio have a TPMS? I had a few flats and 1 blowout and never saw the light. thanks all for your help

Welcome to the forums Papasmurf,

TPMS became mandatory on new vehicles in Europe from 2012 but I understand it was mandatory in the USA from 2008. Your XKR should certainly be fitted with it.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-x150-33/ to the X150 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Northeast Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northeast-35/ to find other members in your region.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Neither have I.

I've just posted in X150 forum about a LH front rim issue where the tyre loses around 1 psi a week. The light comes on regular as clockwork if I let it go more than three weeks.

It sounds like yours could have been disabled. Perhaps a PO didn't like the cost of a new set of sensors.

Although I'm ambivalent about TPMS, I do like everything on a vehicle to work properly.
