Default Twin Cities Checking In

Edina to be exact.

I was never looking to buy a Jag. Bored at work one day and expanded by Craigslist search to 'Lotus'. I came across a 97 XK8 Conv that had recently been painted some Lotus blue color. Price was 7.5k cut down to 6k. Had 1245k miles and needed a power steering hose (per owner). I rolled in and offered 4k and now own a Jag. If I could just finish the current house project, I could get in the garage and fix the hose.

Been an RX7 guy for far too long then moved on to 2nd gen MR2. I am pretty handy with wrenches and hopefully this board can provide answers that I may need to keep the car on the road and running for a long time.

wow Beep, talk about a leap of faith at such a low price! I hope the seller wasn't holding back on anything, thats quite a drop from the selling price. But, on the bright side, it sounds like you know your way around the garage and have tools at your disposal, so be patient and take your time. I feel more than just a power steering leak will be awaiting you after a few weeks of ownership. More good news, you do have a nice size support system here to lead along the right path and keep you sane in the process. lol

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.

If you haven’t already you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for. To do this go to, User CP, Edit Signature, Add Vehicle Details and such and Save Your Signature.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.
