Default U.K. Here

Hi everyone,
Joined the forum today as just got a 4l V8 S Type, the fuel usage was a bit of a shock as my previous car was a 1.4 tdci ford fiesta !!!! and the last Jag i had was an XJ about 15 years ago. Apart from the fual usage i'm loving it

Welcome aboard. Lots of S-Type activity here. You'll feel right at home.

Cheers

Hi and a warm welcome.
Note what you say re fuel consumption but on longer type runs the V8 can do surprisingly well even up to the mid 30s mpg (Imperial Gallon for USA members), better than my manual 2.5 which does 32 on a long run. Local type running though expect low 20s mpg if not less.
Hope you enjoy your visits here with lots of info available.
Bye,
Inver.

Welcome. I joined up at almost the same time as you. I'm driving my '98 VDP because it gets the best mileage of my fleet of personal vehilcles. What a sacrifice to have to drive this car. My other cars are all american. The jag is the nicest.

Have fun,
Joe

Welcome to the forum.

Not much to be done about the fuel, just relax and enjoy the ride.

Welcome to the forum.

I suppose you could always drive down the East Lancs, rather than up it. That might save fuel.

Good to have you with us.
