Just replaced my 08 XK with a 14 XKR. I had the XK for almost 5 years. Both cars are beautiful to look at and extremely exhilarating to sit behind the wheel and hit the throttle. I can't explain in words how fun these cars are to drive around. Driving the XKR around for the first time I left it out of dynamic mode and didn't really notice a huge difference between the XK and the XKR. They both have decent low end torque, but in dynamic mode the XKR takes 0-60 to a different level and slams your head back into the seat a little harder.
Although I rarely had the back end slip out in my original XK (as long as the pavement was dry), family and friend "test" drivers quickly find out that in the XKR, even with the DSR on, this beast responds with all 500+ horses respond aggressively.
I've been lurking on this site for quite awhile (I've used the threads multiple times to help me fix warranty covered repairs that were initially blown off by the service manager), but have wanted to make an official new member thread and be able to participate in the discussion! Thanks for offering a great community to come and discuss our addictions...
