Hi

Just registering from Victoria , Australia

Recently purchased a nice looking but mechanically modified 83 XJ6. Currently enjoying the process of getting it up to scratch maintenance wise and of course driving it. Been surprised by the nice handling and braking for such a big car, its been a pleasure so far.

Hello, Steve,
My car came to me with a 350 also. Lots of 70s and 80s Jags were converted that way.
Welcome from ElinorB.

Default Welcome to Jaguar Forums

Hi Steve (yarpos) ... Welcome aboard, and greetings from up north ...

Great links to different sections of technical help and friendly advice both in model specific sections and the regional sections here in Australia.

Drop by and say "Hi" to those who can best help you source parts and services locally ... as well as backup many of the tech issues... you may be pleasantly surprised to learn the variety and depth of local Jaguar ownership and expertise. We are all a friendly bunch ... and like most Aussies, fairly laid back, with first names as common as respect for each other's cars. We certainly don't bite ... not even the many who still have teeth! So, best wishes with your project ... and congratulations on pouring your efforts into a true classic worthy of the effort.
Love to see your XJ6 pics when you have them.
Ken

Welcome to the real world of motoring.

You are obviously having fun already with taht "catch up maintenance".

Yes, these cars amazed many a driver with their handling and braking, and of course the stance in a crowd.
