Default Welcome from Budapest

Greetings to all. I have been driving my S-type 3.0 SE for 10 years now. I am member on the UK forum under the same name for a long time.

Car has done over 160 K miles now and right now it is 100 % perfect. I have had all the usual niggles, however, sorted out them one by one.

Welcome indeed leaping cat - I remember driving in Hungary in 1989 and the local driving style is to say the least - interesting. I came to the conclusion that the rule of thumb is that you MUST squeal your tyres at every opportunity, that everybody has Michael Schumacher DNA and there is no point in overtaking unless there is a 98% or better chance of a head on collision! As most of the cars back then were Ladas I don't suppose it mattered as much but I would be extremely nervous driving a Jag there.

Thank You guys.

Guido, the morale of driving is far from ideal in my country but I have seen worse elsewhere and the situation improved wastly here. My first car was a Lada in 1987 so I know what you are talking about.
