Hello I'm Ian and I own an 07 XK with the Aston kit. My car was recently in high water at an intersection, so it took in water in the intake and shut down. The insurance will replace the engine so I want to install an XKR engine from a wrecked 08 (150 XKR). Any assistance is appreciated. My in South Florida. What will I need besides the engine ???

Way too much!
This is constantly brought up and there are hundreds of differences between the "R"s and the regular production cars. I would not even consider it and just shop for an XKR if that's what you want.

Welcome to the Forums.
Same advice here.
The days of doing what you propose died in the 70's realistically.
NOTHING is not doable, but WHY is always on my tongue with this late stuff.
Good luck.
