Just purchased a 1999 Jaguar XJ8.
One owner Florida car with almost no corrosion.
original owner passed and had a collection of Jaguars and his daughter was selling this one. Needs some work, trying to get it baselined as much as possible to turn it into a reliable summer car.
Engine was replaced by Jaguar under warranty at 60’000 kms. Now has 209’000 kms.
lost of things to sort immediately:
Two upstream O2 sensors
Rear shock upper bushing
Drivers seat seized for back and forth
Sunroof apparently leaks sometimes
Rear deck lid, roof, and hood clear coat is cracked and ruined. Thinking of doing s two tone paint job.
Car is located in eastern Canada.
I am mechanically inclined and plan to so a lot of the work myself.
Car came with new Michelins. Rides smooth and passed motor vehicle Our idea for a paint fix. Paint the top a cream or ivory / yellow color.
inspection needing only license plate lights.
