XJR in SoCal
I chose this forum because I actually found the data I was looking for (turning off some of the dealer-serviceable settings). I'd still like the proximity sensors to default off. I'm going to wear out the switch.
No vehicle is perfect, at least for me, but our '04 XJR comes very close.
I do wish the DSC was less heavy-handed. When it's off, the chassis is very controllable, particularly in minor power slides. I grew up with V8 power and rear wheel drive, and this is what it's supposed to feel like, but I wouldn't mind leaving the DSC on more, if it just didn't grab the brakes so hard.
Everyone (at least with an 'R, I suspect) wants more power, but I'm not sure how much more the drive train and chassis could handle.
I'd like oil temp' and pressure gauges, but am not (yet) ready to do the rice racer thing and hang them from the A pillar.
Is there a model year differences guide that would let me see what useful (to me) changes, even tweaks to the radio, were made between the '04 and 2010 models?

Ahhh, from the last Jag sedan (saloon, whatever) I fit in. Hope it's not 30 years until the next one.
Back then, I hankered for a 12C, but it never seemed to be the right time.
Glad to hear there's still one of the beauties running.
