XK8 recovery tank dumping fluid
I have a1998 XK8 that is dumping coolant mix from the coolant drain pipe; comes out as cold fluid. Appears to happen after the engine is turned off. Car was recently refurbished with the cooling hoses and expansion tank being renewed after a split hose issue.
Is there a common fault in the coolant recovery tank that triggers a fluid release?

Welcome to the forums Mark,
1. best case scenario - failure to fill the cooling sytem correctly after the hose replacement and there's air in the system..
2. worst case scenario - the split hose caused an overheat and either blew a head hasket or warped a head.
