Yes, there are Jaguars in Norway
Hi all,
Newbie from Oslo, Norway checking in. Young man of 48 summers, I have previously had a handful of Alfas - and still keep a very nice Spider - but have now upgraded (in some people's eyes, not necessarily those of my Alfa-brethren) to a 2000 XKR convertible. Fabulously beautiful car, and a great drive. 60k miles, well looked after and taken care of, and the standard tensioners and hydraulic hoses are replaced.
The car was originally sold in the US, but was shipped to Norway a few years back. The overall condition is tip top, and I am looking forward to spending many enjoyable miles on the road with it (and I suspect I will also enjoy getting to know you lot, dealing with the occasional niggle..)
This'll be fun!

Welcome to the forum Lars,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. Your XKR looks excellent as does the scenery.
Follow this link XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link Europe - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in continental Europe.
Enjoy the forums.

Hi Lars.
I would guess about 15 norwegians in this forum, not too many in the XK8/R section though.
These cars are truly gems, especially the R like you have, but as all other cars they have some weak spots. If you do some maintenance yourself they are not too expensive to keep.
For your info I have a Jaguar Diagnostic tool (WDS/IDS) up and running, and you are welcome to contact me.
I'll try to send you a PM with my personal details.
