Default YO HO HO fromL.A.

Greetings all,
Following the recommended protocol here, My name is Brian, spent 30 years fooling them in the motion picture industry, for those of you who may not know, it's feast or famine, chicken or chicken feathers, meaning we do OK when there's work but there's not always' work. Soooo you learn to be practical, Doing everything within my ability myself, and then figuring how to do what I can't the cheapest way possible.
I like to drive fast. A couple of decades ago when I was in high school a friends dad bought him a Mazda pickup, powered by a rotary engine. lots of torque, lots of fun. long story short, doing most of the wrench turning my- self, that little truck of mine was putting over 350bhp to da ground.
Fast forward to present day, simi retired, 3 adult children, and my wife driving what I have deemed a "CuteCat" a previously owned 2000 xk8 convertible. What I think is a great find, bought from the original owner who worked across the street from russnik Jag in Pasadena. She presented me with all the service receipt, looks like they had her number, I don't think she had anyone else check pressure in the tires. Must say they took care of the car, including the timing chain issue! Well that's about it talk to ya then

Welcome to the forum Brian,

That XK8 sounds to have the perfect history.

Follow this link XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the US Western Region section by following this link Western US - AK CA NV OR UT HI WA ID - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.
