Hi I am a new member and have 2002.5 (facelift) s type 2.5.
I have recently upgraded It so it is now equipped with CD, CD changer, Satnav, voice and Bluetooth.
As none of the Japanese imports at pre wired for voice or Bluetooth this was a challenge.
A quick trip to ebay and voice, phone/bluetooth modules and connectors plus optic fibre cable were imported (new parts are available but very pricey)
A ford mondeo engine loom ($20) was used to supply the correct coloured wires for my home made loom.
The excellent jaguar electrical guides made the job surprisingly straight forward.
All worked first time.
My Samsung phone connects fine and voice tags work a treat.
I read lots of posts on retrofitting various modules, this lead me to believe that the connectors used for the voice and phone/Bluetooth module could not be purchased new,
after a bit of help from Dr Google I found the connectors are available new.
The car is a joy to drive and very economical 8.5 L/100km overall but on the motorway will drop to low 7s when running on 98 and using cruise control.

 

I was thinking about one of these as an everyday car. Do they only run on 95 or will they take 91??

 

The minimum fuel is 95 ron.

 

Ahh. Maybe no good for every day then, its real expensive fuel down here!
