Angry NZ S-Type Ex Japan Change Market Setting?

When I press Eject and AM/FM I get a show of markets on the screen. JPN is highlighted. How do I change this to Australia? The icon is there but it will not select.
I have a SatNav DVD for NZ but all of the stored destinations come up in Japanese. Has anyone seen this before? What can be done as I have been told that Jap S-Type imports have been converted to NZ successfully?

Frustrated of Auckland

Default

Have you tried the button combinations; >> + A.MEM + PTY or >> + A.MEM + TA

Whatever you do, you need to get the FM band set to AUS/NZ before you update the firmware via the Nav Disc. Luckily it doesn't update automatically from the JP version & has to be forced manually.

Worst case the car will need to be connected to a WDS/IDS diagnostic kit (i.e. Jag or Land Rover dealer) to re-set the region.

Then you could go in via the 1971 menu & "update software" but not before!

Default The buttons did not produce a result...

Many thanks for your suggestions. I will nip the car into the dealers and get it hooked up and see what they can do. Watch this space.
