1928 Rolls-Royce Piccadilly-P1 Roadster & its 102 year old owner
Mr. Allen Swift ( Springfield , MA.) received this 1928 Rolls-Royce Piccadilly-P1 Roadster from his father, brand new - as a graduation gift in 1928.
Here is a photo of the car and its 102 year old owner Allen Swift (click on the weblink to view it)

MAN OWNED & DROVE THE SAME CAR FOR 82 Years
With that kind of economic background, it would certainly be no sweat to maintain it in pristine shape for 82 years.
They certainly don't make them like that anymore.
This man Owned & Drove Same Car for 82 YEARS.
Can you imagine having the same car for 82 years!
"How Long Have You Owned a Car?"
He drove it up until his death last year.....at the age of 102!!!
He was the oldest living owner of a car that was purchased new.
Just thought you'd like to see it.
It was donated to a Springfield museum after his death.
It has 1,070,000 miles on it, still runs like a Swiss watch, dead silent at any speed and is in perfect cosmetic condition. (82 years).
That's approximately 13,048 miles per year (1087 per month).

Wow, now thats a story Jim......thanks for sharing.
82 years owning / using the same car, now has over a million miles and still runs well!!!!
Thats testament to the way things were built back then and also the values that people had instilled in them.
Todays society is so fast / last minute and throwaway / disposable that I reckon you won't hear many more stories like this one.
