Dear Admin,
It says I don't have permission to view the page so membership is required to check out the threads . That's really thick I should say

Sorry Caddie, I wasn't thinkin and thanks for letting me know. Here's the write up c/w pics

Well guys, got the DRL's fitted today
These are the ones I fitted link
Really reasonable at the price I thought and they seem exactly the same as the ones on the Autobulbs website as far as I could see.

Anyhow, I started by removing the fog light housings and offering them up into position. They even followed the curvature of the housing PERFECTLY
I marked the hole positions and drilled the holes to suit.
Note; on the drivers side I had to cut away a hole for the light to fit into. I didn't have this hassle on the passenger side as thats where the intercooler is, so only a pain on the drivers side
It all went well and I got them all bolted up into position and they looked pretty cool I thought...took around an hour and a half I'd say.
Then off to my friendly sparky....He took around 2 hours to complete the wiring and wired them into an ignition feed which means they're on always.
Anyway, I think they look pretty stock from a distance and good even pretty close up....Its only on closer inspection you can see they are aftermarket I'd say, but obviously I'm biased
Cost of lights £45 approx, cost of sparky £30....total cost £75

Please judge for yourself in the following pic fest.....I tried to take from as many different angles, close up and at a distance to give you an idea of how they look. Hope you like....

Looks good Jim, thought for a minute that you were firing us all off to join the Audi forum when I looked at it late last night

BTW, nice P/Plate you have there.

So can you have these on with the H/lights off or are the H/lights always on as well. I don't know your car?

Thanks for the positive comments guys, much appreciated

Rather than fit HID's some time ago, I fitted Super white bright 100W bulbs to my dipped lights, main beams and Foglights as well as LED's to the sides. They are very bright white with a slight bluish tinge......very HID looking for a fraction of the price. I did it to see what they'd look like and left them ever since, over a year ago.

As for the DRL Led's recently fitted into the lower grill?
I installed these direct to an ignition feed, so they are always on when the ignition is and the car is running essentially. I have auto lights so they were on as it was getting dark when I took the pics. So, in answer to your question Richard, headlights are only on when it is dull / dark unless I switch them on manually of course.

Of course legislation is coming in 2011 sometime that ALL new cars MUST be fitted with DRL's over here anyway.

As for the personalised plate? Yeah, love it Richard JC 1 would be better but just slightly out of my price range....lol

Thanks for looking and your comments guys
