Am I alone ?

As far as I can see there's at least 2 of you guys in this section, but none of you say where you are from?
ai - please post up an intro in the newbie section. That way forum members can welcome you and find out a little more about you.

Nope. Don't know any Chinese Jag owners. In my known circles, you are indeed utterly alone.
Your description reminds me of a trip I made to East Berlin before the wall came down. There were many lovely shops with many lovely items, but no one who actually lived there could afford to shop them. The state employees just went in and dusted them every day and hoped for a tourist or two with clearance to come along that year and wander in.

In every society there's a multitude of classes.
Actually there's plenty of Jags in china, many for affordable rates, although compared to the US they are more expensive (around double) due to import taxes imposed at time of sale. That being said, the older ones (80's, 90's, early 2000's) are affordable (even for a teacher).
China is currently one of the world's most prosperous nations with a veracious appetite for luxury goods...

I'm soon to pick up another XKR and I currently live in Taiwan (admittedly not part of China, whatever the Chinese may say.. :P )..
I believe China is Jaguar's biggest market, for all the obvious reasons -- money and shear numbers of people. I'm counting on China to eat up lots and lots of Jaguars so they become more popular world-wide -- c'mon China, get out there and buy those Jags!
It's illegal to import used cars into China for resale, and Jaguar hasn't been selling there very long.
