The London Concours is set for June 5th and 6th, and looks like there's going to be some serious hardware on hand. This one made me miss my old XJ6... Mine was a Series II, but it was this same brown, which I called Chocolate Decadence. Ha ha. Anyone planning on going? More details here.
That is the 370th XJ6 4.2 litre right-hand drive car.
The colour is Sable with Cinnamon interior trim. For the first two years of its life, it was the personal transport of Sir William Lyons, the Chairman of Jaguar Cars Limited. It was kept on the road until 1976 by which time it had done some 60,000 miles. It became part of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust collection and was stored until 1994, when it was finally restored and put back in running order.

Oh wow! Thanks for the info! I don't know if my '78 was available in the same color, but here's a shot of it. Loved that car!
