RIP Jaguar C-X75
Just learned that the Jaguar C-X75, which was developed in conjunction with the Williams F1 team was canned due to the "ongoing global crysis".
It was supposed to have four 194 hp electric engines (one for each wheel) that produce 780 hp and goes to 0-60 / mph in 2.8 seconds.
I'm going to cry now. So wanted to see another Jag super car, especially since the last one was a masterpiece of brute force and design.

It is sad that this car won't come into production. It was really an incredible design and would have been a milestone for Jaguar. Hopefully Jaguar will have an updated version available as the economy improves.
Not buying that.
People who would have been interested in this car, much less in a financial position to buy one, hardly know what a tank of gas runs for.
Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini owners don't feel any kind of energy crisis. (hell, you can probably add Bentleys, upper end Porsche 911s, AMG and M cars on this list as well)
I think it came down to the fact that it could not be built.

I think the CX75 program is still alive. Jaguar posted pics of an updated CX75 on their facebook page. The blue version is pretty sweet. I also think the turbo I4 sounds pretty good at full-song.
