Bartlett ghost signs
I read at TexasEscapes.com that there are some nice ghost signs at a small town called Bartlett. Google-mapped it - it's only 26 miles away from where I lived so I decided to have a look-see ....
Here are the pictures - normal and tone-mapped with HDR sw:

The last 2 are sunset pictures on a country road:
All these shots were taken with a point-and-shot, and they keep reminding me that I need to get an SLR to replace my broken one ....
When I took the sunset shots, there is one setup that's o-so-perfect. Imagine the car pointing towards the sunset - and the sunset was actually reflected next to the Growler badge on the hood, so I would have had the shot of the sunset reflected on the hood, the louvres will be on the upper part, the Growler badge at the bottom, with the setting sun like a red ball next to it - but I could not manipulate the setting to get a decent shot ....
