Benefits of a Mild Winter
This winter has to have been one of the mildest I've experienced in my years living throughout the Midwest. The biggest benefit is I've been able to drive the Jag much more. I got a different phone with a decent camera, so I decided to stop for a little spontaneous photo. The lighting isn't a good as it should be and there are some other minor things I would change, but I'm pleased with the shot.
As a fellow Minnesotan, I can attest to this moderate winter. I am driving the Jag more than I thought I would have, but not as much as I would like.
Not being too terribly familiar with the southwest portion of the state, I can't tell from your photo where the shot was taken. However, from personal experience driving my Buick to Sioux Falls, there is nothing quite like floating along those state and county highways off the beaten path from I-90 - little traffic and excellent road conditions make for a grand time.

This was on one of the two scenic back roads I sometimes take from work. This one has a few S-curves and some hills, while the other cuts through the valley of the buffalo ridge, then goes over it. That route is a little longer, but gorgeous and scarcely a car on it. I work just south of Chandler, and both these roads come out of that town.
Here is a little map of the start of it:

The upper couty road is a little less interesting, but more direct. This was the route I took. The photo is at the green spot.
The lower county road (County Highway 4) is a lot more interesting, but a bit longer.
Both are less direct than the highways, but I still enjoy taking them. Once my work schedule changes I will be carpooling and won't get to take the fun roads on my work commute as often.

Also, thanks to whoever merged my accidental double thread post. I tried to delete one myself and failed miserably
Al, the wheels are stock 18" staggered width Jaguar Sport a.k.a. Fluted 7-spoke wheels.

Thanks for posting the map. I've been north of there and south of there, but never near Chandler. One really does learn something new everyday. I will have to wander over that way next time I am in the area.
