I like the first one! Where did you take it from? At first I was going to guess Alki Point - but the Space Needle is on the wrong side ..... Was it from Lake Union?
Ever tried taking shots from Kerry Point w/ Mt Rainier in the background? I've been to Seattle several times but never seemed to get that shot right ....

I actually took the first and second pictures were taken from Gasworks Park, which is on the other side of Lake Union from the Space Needle.
The third picture was from Alki though.
Ive never taken any with Mt. Rainier in it. I dont make it out that way as often as I'd like to.
I can never seem to get a good shot of the mountain. There is always something that I dont want in my shot.

Thanks cadillac!
I took a photography class at the local community college just because it was an interest. Even though Ive only taken a beginners class, I was amazed at how much I learned just about the different features an SLR camera has and how to use photoshop to enhance a photo.
I was generally against photoshop at first, but the photography teacher explained its for enhancing the colors that the camera cant pick up. That way the picture becomes what our eyes see, not just editing a picture to make it look like an airbrushed magazine picture.
I definitely have huge respect for photographers who use film rather than digital, just because of the amount of skill needed to make a good exposure.

MidlifeXJR, the shoreline picture was taken at Alki. Its really pretty out there. I like it best when its cloudy because it gives the pictures more depth.
r0m8470 I used photobucket to post the pictures. I just upload them to photobucket and when you view the image that you want to upload, it has a share box beside it. Inside that is an image code; just copy and paste that code in the message box and thats it. The picture posts itself

Thanks, guys. All of these were 35mm slides. The last shot was taken about 25 years ago. Haven't seen a storm as dramatic as that puppy out here since then. As I recall, it was about a 1 minute exposure, during which time there were two lightning strikes. The view is looking west, and you can see how the pattern repeats as the storm moved north. It is a little "jiggly" because the thunder shook the deck.

So, as per usual we spent ages in boots hovering around the makeup counter and stands yesterday and one of our favourite purchases was Go Ginza by essie red nail polish from their Spring 2013 collection, influenced by worldwide shopping cities.
