05 STR
I have a 05, Which i personally think was the best year of the type r's.
It has brembos with jaguar and the r logo on them, and i out brakes any car i have driven.
Which you need when you are doing 190mph! No restriction on mine .... i think that was a US thing.
As for the lurch, i have no experience of this with my car, i always have it in sport mode and find i get better fuel economy and performance
and braking hard feels straight and true.
I would try an 05, i would even consider selling you mine
63000 MILES maybe take $18000 for it Racing green , cream leather, SAT NAV, adaptive cruise......doesnt have the bluetooth option but has everything else
