I hope this is a good spot for this post. I'm pulling an engine out of a 1998 Vanden Plas and was wondering what the experts think its worth. It has 140,000 miles on it. I drove it for about a hundred miles and the engine sounds great to me. No issues that I know of. I want to sell it without any worries of the unknown causing me headaches with a buyer, but I also don't want to just give it away either. Originally, I was going to keep it and store it in case I needed it for my XJ8, but I don't have the room, and my XJ8 motor was rebuilt 2000 miles ago. I'm going to keep the transmission though. The car was a Salvation Army donor car that didn't run. New fuel pump and it was running like a champ. Bad interior and exterior clear coat was peeling pretty bad as well. I've been using it for parts for my other car.

Any thoughts or suggestions? I was thinking advertising it on craigslist locally. I don't want to deal with shipping, and it gives a person the ability to come take a look.
