1998 XJ8 - Bad Engine - $3000
The car is a 1998 XJ8 VDP. ~100mi on the car. Black with tan leather.
The good: The car is showroom clean and has been meticulously maintained. It has all the options.
The bad:The motor needs tobe replaced.Most likely it has atiming chain tension failure. It gave no warning of this.
I am looking to get $3000 / obo for the car.

Wow, talk about OVER pricing! Don't mean to haggle your price, but man, no engine, and 100K miles on the chasis, and you want 3 grand! I wouldn't expect more than $1,000, much less 3...

Yeah that's the bad thing about Jags. They're meant to be kept, not sold. In turn, resale usually sucks, unless it's a collector.
I'd see what it cost to get an engine thrown in there and put it in your local paper or ebay. It's gonna be hard to sell without a motor.
